Due to the situation of our hotel the different attractions in the area are quick and easy to get to. For bicycle trips well maintained bicycles can be hired from the hotel.
“Movie park Germany” (previously Warner Bros. Movie World)
| One famous international attraction is situated almost on our doorstep. Only 15 km away it can be quickly arrived at by bicycle, bus or car. Please take note of our special offer. On the 19. march 2005 the Bottrop film and entertainment park opened its doors with a new name and many more attractions. The management are extremely proud to be able to present the first Ice age roller coaster worlwide. The worldwide success of the film “Ice age” with its lovely characters Scrat (the squirrel), Sid (the sloth) and Manny (the mammoth) is the basis of a family friendly water ride in the newly named “wonderland studios” (formerly “Kinderland”). As another highlight of the new season the funny/strange character of SpongeBob will move into the new four–dimensional cinema. “SpongeBob” is a highly successful american TV–series, that is also show in Germany on SuperRTL and enjoys a growing popularity. The specially made four-dimensional film it shown in the newly renovated Roxy cinema. Freizeitpark (adventure park) "Schloss Beck"
Directly next to „Movie park“ is adventure park „Schloss Beck“ that contains many attractions. Especially families with small children can enjoy themselves in the park. Not only that but the entrance fee is family friendly and won`t damage the holiday budget.
"Römerstadt" (roman city) Xanten
From Schermbeck you can reach the roman city of Xanten in about half an hour by car. More details and access to offers are available over the internet.
